The Hanns Seidel Foundation began its project work in Israel in 1979 and in the Palestinian Territories in 1994. During the period of the Foundation’s activity in the area, different priorities were set depending on the changing political situation in the region. However, our key objective has always been to strengthen and empower the civil society in Israel and the Palestinian Territories on a societal, local and regional level, as well as enriching and furthering the German-Israeli bilateral relations.
