Publication of the Ecotourism Guidebook "Our Nature: Enjoy and Explore"

Our Ecotourism guidebook titled "Our Nature: Enjoy and Explore" was published in cooperation with the Environment Quality Authority of Palestine. It is the first guidebook of its kind in Palestine and serves as a national reference for the citizens, institutions and visitors to know about the Nature Reserves and their historical linkage with the culture of the Palestinian people.

The booklet (76 pages) is available on our mahmiyat.ps website. H.E. Eng. Adalah Ateereh, Head of the Environment Quality Authority, wrote the preface to the booklet in which she highlights the situation of the Nature Reserves, the national efforts in protecting the biodiversity and the ecosystems in Palestine as well as the efforts for stopping its deterioration. 

The booklet also includes useful information about how to use the Flora and Fauna databases, general and technical information about the nature reserves, its geographical map, as well as how to use the ecotourism database that includes natural, cultural and historical attractions that could be visited in the nearby reserves. The guidebook can also be used by tour guides in order to successfully organize an itinerary for Ecotourism.

Furthermore, the booklet also explains the threats facing the nature reserves, and gives the reader tips about how to help protect the reserves and emphasizes the importance of involving the local community in the protection process. 
The guidebook includes a collection of pictures, documented by several photographers who visited the Nature Reserves, of local birds, plants and landscapes.
